Founder's Story

I coach because coaching changed my life. I coach because the tools of non-judgement and curiosity need application in every corner of our world today. I have over ten years of experience in the fitness and wellness industries and have walked my own mental and physical healing journey.

Like so many people, the path I followed through the first half of life seemed laid out before me as byproduct of life’s circumstances, the expectations of others, and a smattering of significant unplanned events. This equation had me stuck in a ruthless cycle of overwhelming stress and destructive coping mechanisms. For me, the root cause of this cycle was trauma I didn’t know I needed to acknowledge. This forward feeding cycle of negativity and destruction rippled through every area of life, until I found support to face some devastating truths.

The damage done to my body as result of this brutal cycle left me unable to get up half a flight of stairs to my apartment without shedding a few tears from painful knees and hips. Back pain was a constant. Depression made daily function a struggle. My relationships were equally as unhealthy, if not abusive, and I was unable to move toward bigger goals in life, despite my genuine craving to achieve them. The trajectory of increasing physical and emotional suffering felt unstoppable. Life didn’t make sense to me - at all. I felt desperate and out of control.

As if by magic, someone stepped into my life who, despite no training as a coach, met me with rigorous coaching principles. I never once felt judge by them, so I felt safe for the first time ever. They were genuinely curious about my life and asked simple, straightforward questions. Over two or three years, I faced the truths I’d be avoiding all along, reorganized my life and self concept to reflect a different understanding of the world and my role in it. The work of forgiveness and living in my power is a commitment I continue to make every day. That regular investment keeps is the generating force in my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What I needed most in order to heal was time and space to hear my truth. That’s what coaches do. We create a time, space, and place for you to bear witness to you: your truth, your desires, your challenges, your wisdom, your intuition.

Many people don’t have some murky, buried truth they are avoiding that’s driving craziness into their lives, and that’s wonderful. That doesn’t mean we don’t get overwhelmed, confused, loose focus, or are often unable to see a clear path forward.

Coaching generates insight, ideas, and staying power to find the path and walk it. I used to hate when people said “if I can do it, anyone can.” I always thought, “Don’t say that - you don’t know what a mess I am.” Now I’m here, telling you it’s possible. The goals we can reach by ourselves are often not very satisfying. If you have a goal you’re struggling to reach by yourself, you’ve got the right sized dream. Find the support you seek.

There’s a vibrant life waiting for you, too.
