Ten years ago Vanessa began a journey of proactively learning to manage her health through lifestyle. Today, she has learned to manage a host of complicated and persistent health issues including: hip, knee and back pain, PTSD (and its concurrent depression and anxiety), ADHD, Leaky Gut and Candida. Vanessa started working in the natural health field as a personal trainer, but soon become eager to expend her knowledge and areas service. Vanessa returned to NYU and completed a self-designed degree in “Self-Care as Primary Care”. During that time she also became nationally certified as a health coach and a life coach.
Vanessa believes continuing education is imperative in the rapidly evolving natural health field. She has completed many professional trainings including Food as Medicine, Strategies for Stress Resilience, Mind-Body Medicine, Hormone Balancing and is an avid reader of several industry journals. She frequently attends workshops and seminars in the areas of nutrition, psychology and fitness.
As the founder of One Body One World, LLC, Vanessa is dedicated to supporting natural health in communities that struggle with preventable chronic disease. In her work with individuals, she is committed to simple, low-tech coaching methods that turned her own life around: listening without judgment and questioning with curiosity.
